A Technopark engineer injured in a robbery incident reported in technopark last week.A young engineer was on his way to hotel for his dinner, around 8.15 PM, when three young men allegedly attacked him.Here is the relevent part from his mail describing his horrible experience.
I would like to share about a very bad experience happend to me on Sat night about 8:15pm (01-05-10) near to Kariyavattom junction(near techno park) in TVM.
I was on my way to have my dinner, hotel was near kazakkottam junction hence i caught a bus to get down on the desired destination, however i forgot to take my wallet so i got down from the bus
paid the conductor the remaining change which was left in my pocket. On my way back to my room 3 people on bike suddenly rushed near me on bike pushed me down and started hitting me very badly.
Their intention was to steal money , while two persons were manhandling me one was frantically checking my pockets for money as they found that i have no money with me they left me lying on the road and rushed back to thier vehicle. I was badly hurt and my mobile was also broken. I some how managed to get back to my room and scared to inform police as this happend very near to my room and this may happen again…I want our management to make sure that this message reaches everyone hear, alert and inform all to be cautious while coming out late in the evening.
This is the third incident reported within a month. we published a similar incident happened near the Ginger hotel a couple of weeks back.
Please be cautious and alert to avoid this kind of incidents again. Try to avoid walking alone on the sides on bypass and the road on back side of technopark after 7 PM. Try to go out in groups and avoid keeping debit/credit cards and large amount of money in your wallets. You can always call up the highway police at 9846100100 for help.
a few weeks back some of my project team members were also faced similar incident near the ginger. two of them were going after 8.30 suddenly a bike stopped near by and one guy was talking in phone and he was walking in back. they tried to get the mobile from his hand but he resisted, then they slapped him and he fell down. the other guy was walking in front he turned back after hearing the noise and he rushed in to him and then they also tried to attack him. somehow they managed not to loose their wallet and mobile but they injured. then some other vehicle slow down near by and the two guys left the place in their bike.
This is not a single event. many such incidents are happening in a daily basis, and in most of the times the guys wont disclose it because they dont want to go after the police case.
Kerala is ashamed of these goons !! BASTARDS !

such incidents must be reported to the media more than just circulating on blogs and email groups. there have been a zillion incidents of violence in the kalakuttom area since i came here 5 years back. after all the locals here have not seen much of the world!

Heads up everyone! Please keep this circulating. You walk across the car park, unlock your car and get inside. You start the engine and put it into Reverse.
When you look into the rear-view mirror to back out of your space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear screen. So you stop, and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is), because it is obstructing your view. Then when you reach the back of your car, is when the car-jackers appear out of nowhere. They jump in and take off. They practically run you over as they speed off.
And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car. So now the car-jacker has your car, your home address, your money, and your keys. Your home and your whole identity are compromised!
BEWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.
If you see a piece of paper stuck to the back window, lock your doors and just drive away. Remove the paper later. And be thankful that you read this e-mail. I hope you will forward this to friends and family, especially to women. A purse contains all kinds of personal information and identification documents, and you certainly do NOT want this to fall into the wrong hands.
POLICE ALSO STATED THAT:
If you are driving at night and were attacked with eggs on your car’s windshield,DO NOT operate your wiper or spray any water. Eggs mixed with water become milky and block your vision up to 92.5 %.You are forced to stop at road side and become victim of robbery. This is new technique used by robbers. Take care and Safe Driving

Technopark should provide a helpline 24*7 support in all languages as all Employees work in technopark does not familliar with local language and all the nearby police stations use the local language. I stay near to technopark in Souhadra Nagar, Nettaikonam and one night i was going to Kazhakottam to buy medicine around 10 PM. One drunken guy stopped me on the way and tried abusing but thanks to the Technopark Gym, I was able to stop him but that guy noted my bike number and told to see me later with his gang tomorrow. till now i havent met him again but still feel hesitated to go to the police station due to local language.
