162 year old Malayalam translation of the Holy Bible On Auction!

A 162 year old Malayalam translation of the Holy Bible has been put up for auction.The book printed in 1848 has a first page saying it has been translated into “malalayka”, possibly the then name for the Malayalam language. The book further says that it has been printed at the Church Mission Press for the Madras Auxiliary Bible Society. The place mentioned in it as “Cottayam” is assumed to stand for Kottayam.
