TechnoparkToday.com>> August 21, 2015: More than 2,500 candidates have registered for a two-day job fair hosted by Infopark Thrissur, which began here today.
Infopark Thrissur is set to emerge as a leading job provider with its new 3.3 lakh sq ft IT block nearing completion by this year-end.
Nine companies, including KPMG and Sutherland Global Services, are participating in the second edition of the fair, offering the candidates a wide spectrum of employment opportunities.
Apart from the 2,500-plus online registrations, the fair also got more than 500 walk-in candidates on the first day itself. Most of them were in the age group of 20-35 years.
Infopark Chief Executive Officer Shri Hrishikesh Nair, who inaugurated the job fair, said, “I am happy to see the big turnout at the fair and that too at a time Infopark is looking forward to expansion. Infopark’s new building, which is getting ready, will boost employment opportunities at the park and we expect 3,000 new job opportunities to be created once the facility is fully operational.”
There are vacancies for iOS/Andriod/ESB developers, oracle EBS PL/SQL developers, Java J2EE project managers, J2EE associate engineers and leads, and ATG technical consultants/automation. Opportunities are also available for business development associate, software and hardware Tech/non-tech customer support consultant and Data/functional analyst.
Majority of the fresh jobseekers who attended the fair were M.Tech, B.Tech, MCA, BA, M Com and MBA graduates.
The first edition of Infopark Job Fair held at the Kochi campus last year turned out to be a huge hit with 7,000 registrations, out of which around 800 candidates were shortlisted by the major IT firms.
