Two Technopark incubated companies won the prestigious awards for technology and innovation from NASSCOM.
MobMe won the NASSCOM Innovation Awards 2008 for the most Innovative Startup and the Indian Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Parks and Business Incubators Association (ISBA) 2009 Award for the Best Startup ICT Company of 2008.
Light Logics Holography and Optics Pvt Ltd won the ISBA Award for the Best Start Up Engineering Company for 2008.
The two companies were honored by Technopark CEO Siddhartha Bhattacharya for the recognition and pride they brought to the State at a function here today.
MobMe is a two-year old vibrant technology start-up incubated by the Technopark Business Incubation (TBI) initiative founded by a bunch of engineering students while in their college.
The company has today expanded to Kochi, Mumbai and Gurgaon with a 30-strong team.The company won the award for its flagship product Mobshare.in, a mobile content sharing platform and distribution network.
Mobshare’s enterprise solution today powers CNN-IBN’s and Mid-Day’s Mobile Citizen Journalism initiative, Follow the 12th Man service of Shah Rukh Khan-owned Kolkata Knight Riders, Photostream on DSN’s digital screens in 100’s of Café Coffee Days, Snap n Share campaign in PlanetM Stores and Mobile Crime and Accident Reporting Platform (MCARP) of Kerala Police.
Mr Siddhartha Bhattacharya, congratulating the two companies,said, ”The recognition achieved by these two companies is recognition for Technopark’s Business Incubation initiatives. These awards reiterate the fact that our incubation initiatives are world class and one of the best in the industry.
