To consider the literature Mahabharata and its part, Bhagavad-Gita ,that leads human race into the eternal religion as untrue, and  its soul, Lord SriKrishna  as a fictitious character, according to PADMA PURANA,  is an offense and one who does so is an offender. This is so because Sripada Shankaracharya states in Gita Mahatmya that “the nectarian Srimad Bhagavad Gita flows out of the lotus lips of the Supreme Lord Sri Krishnaâ€.
bharathamrita sarvasvam   visnu-vaktrad vinihsrtam (Gita mahatmyam)
100miles to the north of New Delhi ,the holy battle of Mahabharatha took place in a sacred place called Kurukshtra . Approximately Four miles away from Kurukshetra there is a place called Jyothissar, and in that place on the Mokshada Ekadasi day Lord Krishna instructed, the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna
Bhagavad Gita means “The song of the Supreme personality of  Godhead†and it is the essence of all the Vedas.
The very aim of Bhagavad Gita is to liberate the human race from the nescience of material existence. One must approach Bhagavad Gita through devotion as Lord SriKrishna explains in the fourth chapter of Bhagavad Gita:
bhaktho asime sakha chethi rahasyam hredaduthamam
Oh Arjuna, this Supreme truth is told by me to you  because you are My devotee as well as my friend and can therefore understand the transcendental mystery of this science.
Na hithe bhagavan vyakthim vidhur deva na dhanava
Neither the Devas nor the Asuras can truly understand the Supreme Lord SriKrishna, then how can we mere human beings understand the Bhagavad Gita with out becoming devotees of the Lord.
Today  in Kerala there are many  versions of Bhagavad Gita available in the market.  But in most of these the translator does not even touch the soul of the  Bhagavad Gita who is the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna. Instead the authors desiring false prestige are expressing there own views, which are not at all authorized by the  great acharyas.  Only persons who come under the proper disciplic succession called parampara, which starts from Lord Sri Krishna, the ultimate master Himself are authorized to give the right interpretation.
PadmaPurana as follows:
sampradaya vihinas ye mantraste nishphalamath
atha kalau Bhavishyanthi chathvaraha sampradayinah
The Knowledge of the Vedas , and the mantras which are meant for perfection are fruitless if not obtained through one of the four bonafide Sampradayas.
The knowledge that you are imparting from a proper disciplic succession or parampara should not be based on concoctions or jugglery of words because all the acharya’s hailing from the above said sampradayas are devotees of the Lord Sri Krishna.  Without being a devotee of the Lord, if one tries to speculatively understand, he can only taste the honey bottle by licking from outside the bottle and can’t taste the real honey that is Bhagavad Gita as it is which is inside the bottle.
ISKCON founder Acharya A .C Bhakti Vedanta Swami Prabhupada is the 32nd Guru coming under Brahma Sampradaya. As he got the concrete base from the disciplic succession starting from Lord Sri Krishna himself, he is able to give the inner meanings of Bhagavad Gita as it is.  His  Bhagavad Gita translated into 79 languages  has been distributed around the world . Among the 700 crore population in the world ,more than 48crore spiritual books written by Bhakthivedata swami have been sold.  Bhagavad Gita as it is, alone, translated into 79 languages has been sold to more than 10 crore people and has got a position in Guinness Book of World Records.  The daily life of the world population has been tremendously influenced by  Iskcon‘s Bhagavad Gita .In the light of this transformation, The Russian Christ Mission became afraid and made an effort to ban Bhagavad Gita as it is  in Russia. Even so in the midst of all these problems  devotees in Russia who are ISKCON members have sold more than one Lakh copies of Bhagavad Gita as it is.
Make your life blessed by buying the Bhagavd Gita As IT Is available in the Iskcon centres and do not get enticed by the words rooted in danger written by non devotees.
To know more about Mahabharatha and Bhagavad Gita and to contemplate on it, with an intention of opening the doors of this true knowledge to mankind, Iskcon has arranged a programme called Parivartan based on the Bhagavad Gita at Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan, Koothambalam on the 19th and 20th of February.
