Technopark facing a sudden drinking water shortage for the past 3 days. Techonpark authorities sent an email to all companies asking to minimize the use of water. The water available form Kerala Water Authority is now inadequate to meet the needs of entire companies in Technopark.
KV Rajendran, General Manager, Technical division, Technopark said the storage capacity of Technopark was sufficient, but the current situation is due to KWA water shortage during the summer.
Every summer, when there is a shortage of water, Technopark authorities manage it with water from KWA tankers, but the situation is graver this time since the number of companies in Technopark is rising.
So we need to be self sufficient in the matter of the water resources also. why can’t we make a few wells in technopark? technopark area is situated in a paddy field like place, where we can get enough water if we make good wells or borewells. authorities should think it seriously, than depending on someone else for the water.
Also the rainwater harvesting not happening in technopark campus. everyone says we are green and nature friendly. but the actual fact is NOT.

Today, when i went to have my lunch at Time and Again, Bhavani Building
there were no option kept for washing hands. When I enquired with the concerned authority post my lunch his instant reply was that “Technopark doesn’t give us water so how would we be able to provide it” That was quite rude….
Although we understand the difficulties, I think its high time the vendors should also behave in a courteous manner.
Later I washed my hands with the drinking water provided.
Thoughts pls guyz..if anyone of u have got similar experiences !!
