‘Performance Appraisal of UDF Government’, the online poll, conducted by TechnoparkToday to apprise the UDF government which is completing its first year, got an overwhelming response from the techie community.  Around 500 techies participated in the survey, which include CEOs, managers, software engineers, and ITES/BPO employees. The general feeling is that Oommen Chandy government is popular among the techies.  Majority has expressed satisfaction with the working of the government. Interestingly, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy is the most popular minister.
Technoparktoday conducted the ‘Performance Appraisal of UDF Government’ after the successful ‘Will you Vote’ survey. During the ‘Will You Vote’ survey, a demand came up from the techies to conduct annual appraisal of the government. The survey was conducted last month through various Technopark-related community websites and social media.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy emerged as the most pro-people minister in the Cabinet with a thumping majority. 64.5% participants supported Chandy, while the runner up, K B Ganesh Kumar, has only 17.3% supporters. Shibu Baby John came the third (7.9%) and M. K. Muneer (5.1%) the fourth position.  The popularity he gained through the state-wide Mass Contact program and overnight working might have helped Chandy to win many hearts. Majority of the participants gave an A+ grade for Chandy’s performance.
Most of the techies  have expressed satisfaction with the Department of IT.
PWD has been rated by the techies as the department with marked development. Transport and Labour are the other departments which scored well in the survey.
CEOs, Mangers, ITES/BPO employees, and software engineers participated in the survey.  The overwhelming response from the techie community has proved that the techies are not political naïve.  The techies, just as the cross section of the Malayali community, are keen on the day to day changes in the state politics.
Valuable and interesting  comments raised during the survey will be published soon.>>
TechnoaparkToday Team thanks participants for cooperation and valuable comments.
