Product Testing and Certification Centre launched @ Technopark

>>Technopark TBI launched its latest initiative – Technopark Software Testing Lab and Certification Centre (TSECC). This initiative is a joint venture with SE Mentor Solutions (P) Ltdset up at Park Centre, Technopark with funding support from Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt of India. The Centrewas inaugurated by Dr. K C Chandrasekharan Nair,Managing Director, T-TBI.Other Dignitaries present included, Mr.Bobby Varghese, Mr.Nandakumar, Directors of SE Mentor,Mr.BinuSanker, CEO, GTECH,Mr.AnoopAmbika, Secretary, GTECH.The Software product Certification Centre is the world’s first Product Certification Centre

Software Quality Certification Centrewill work as an apex body with a strong technical arm (testing arm) to define the quality standards to issue the ratings to software projects and product based on different parameters in this facility. The Centre will also certify the products of software companies which will be major marketing tool for the emerging companies.The new centre is equipped with all the facilities to test software products, projects, packages and issue certification on various parameters like usability, reliability, performance etc. It will also have high-end servers which will majorly focus on performance /load /volume testing. The facility will  offer the state of the art TSECC ‘Software Testing Lab’ which has a resource pool of various Software Testing Tools globally used by the Testing Professionals open to the companies in and outside Technopark and to the business start-up and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in their early stages.

Mr. Girish Babu, CEO Technopark said “This centre, the world’s first of its kind will be a major boost to companies especially start-ups, planning to come up with their own software products in the market. Currently there is no such facility in the World for testing a software product and since we have developed this centre at Technopark, it is a truly a great leap for the incubation activities in Kerala and also an achievement by itself. It will offer services in key quality activities, including requirements, test and defects management, functional testing and business process testing. The centre will offer software product certifications and a Software Quality Testing Lab also operates for the benefit of the emerging companies both inside and outside Technopark. The Centre will also help create value for companies experiencing difficulty in bringing in the required credibility to their software product/service. This facility can be availed by Software Companies nationally.
