‘Kerala IT’ team to attend ‘Gitex Technology Week’ in Dubai

>>A senior level delegation from Kerala IT will participate in the GITEX Technology Week 2012  from October 14-18, 2012 to be held at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The team will be led by Mr. P H Kurian, IAS, Principal Secretary – IT. He will be joined by Mr Vijayakumar, Special Secretary to Minister P K Kunhalikutty;Mr Girish Babu, CEO Technopark; Mr Gigo Joseph, CEO Infopark; Mr M Vasudevan, Senior Business Development Manager Technopark and representatives of IT companies from Technopark and Infopark.GITEX is a leading ICT business gateway to the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia Region.

The state will showcase the IT parks in the state, including Technocity, Kollam Technopark and Infopark Cherthala, Kinfra High Tech Park along with various other investment opportunities in the IT sector across Kerala. Kerala IT has been participating in Gitex in the past and through this event set up a platform to showcase the investment opportunities in the State to the Middle East market. Over the years Kerala IT has been benefited by its participation in this event with lot of Middle East companies investing into the State and also SMEs from Kerala getting opportunity to set shop in the ME market.

Commenting on Kerala IT’s participation in GITEX Girish Babu, said “We are delighted to participate at GITEX once again this year and showcase various investment opportunities in the IT sector in Kerala. The State is truly capitalizing on its geographical attributes and transforming itself in to a prominent IT destination in the country through focused initiatives in IT infrastructure development, human resource development and citizen e-enablement. Technopark has witnessed some very new developments in the IT sector during the past one year and many new companies are ready to open their new offices at our campus, the newly developed master plan for Technocity has also been successful in generating investment opportunities for the state”.
