About the session:
Benchmarking is the process of comparing one’s business processes and performance metrics to industry best practices from other industries. BSPIN has analyzed 162 projects during the period of May 2009 to March 2011 and derived the benchmarks for the critical parameters, Productivity and Defect Density. These benchmark data can be used as reference in the software development Industry to target on enhanced process performance. The process of benchmarking and the analysis of benchmark data is addressed in the session “ BSPIN Benchmark Highlightsâ€
Speaker Profile :
Mr. Ravindranath Pandian graduated in Physics and pursued engineering at MIT Madras in Electronics and Communication. Pandian began his career in Research and Development in 1979. He has vast experience in New Product Development and has held various positions in R&D management in Antennas, Infrared Pyrometers, Telecommunications and Analytical Instrumentation Industry. He also specialized in Quality Assurance and functioned as GM Corporate QA and is a Lead Assessor for ISO 9000 quality system. He is currently engaged in an on-going research on Statistical Methods for Software Engineering.
