Please Help Our Colleague

We are posting a request from our colleague, a Technopark employee, seeking your support.

Hi,

As you know, my 8 month old Baby – Aaron is suffering from acute liver cirrhosis, which means that his liver has not been functioning properly right from his birth and has steadily degraded over the months and is on the verge of full failure.

8 months of battling the disease has left him very weak and his once cherubic smile is very rarely seen as he struggles with even the basic breathing …function as his liver has enlarged in size and is pushing against his lungs and other internal organs, leading to constant bleeding and very enlarged veins seen all over his body.

I and his mother have been at pains to take him to see different treatment and investigation options – to explore any ways of containing or reversing the degradation process, which subjected us to very expensive clinical investigations and medical treatments, but unfortunately – they have all failed.

Now we are left with a very critically ill baby – who fortunately do not have any other organ failures at this time and can be saved by a Full liver Transplant @ Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin. However, the cost works out to Rs. 15 Lakhs, which is beyond our financial scope as his treatment expenses so far have literally wiped out nearly all of my meager savings.

I appeal to you, in God’s name, to help me meet this financial need. If you feel so inclined to help me save a life – I humbly ask you to donate whatever amount you may feel – to help my baby have a chance at life.

I have been given just a month as Doctors say that if we wait further, it could result in multiple organ failure or even paralysis, in which case there would be no benefit in doing this operation. I have been knocking on all doors and I come to you to beg you to contribute whatever you may feel to help us in our time of extreme need.
