Techies May get a Pre-paid auto Counter and Police Aid Post

TechnoparkToday.Com>> A pre-paid auto counter for employees of Technopark, especially for ladies working in odd hours, was a long-pending demand.   Finally, we have decided to do our bit to raise the issue with the decision-makers.   Santhosh Nair, Operating officer of Technopark -based Alokin software Pvt Ltd approached Union HRD Minister Shashi Tharoor appealing to set up a prepaid auto counter at Technopark.

“I am witness to an incident where an auto driver used abusive language against three lady employees who refused to pay an exorbitant rate as auto charge. I thought that having Prepaid Auto Stand & Police Aid post is a most necessary requirement which we should have.  Even the Infopark employees enjoy this facility and the Technopark, which did start much more, lacks it.  I’ve seen lady staffs running to hostels after finishing their work in the night.  Most are afraid to travel in an auto during night time as the premises lack enough street lights and security facilities,” Santhosh said.

“I wrote a letter to our MP Dr. Sashi Tharoor.  After several followups, I got a favorable reply from his office that he has forwarded the case to the Home department, handled by Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, to start a Police Aid Post inside the Campus,” he said

When TechnoparkToday team contacted the city Corporation, we were informed that a pre-paid auto counter for Technopark has been included in this year’s budget and would materialize in this financial year itself.

Technopark Today as well as Prathidwani – a socio cultural organization from technopark  has conducted several campaigns and has sent petitions to authorities on this issue.  We thank our MP. Shashi Tharoor and City Corporation for considering our petition.
