One-day Workshop on Cloud Computing, 25 August 2009, Hotel Taj Residency, Thycaud, Trivandrum
Cloud computing combines dynamically scalable and often virtualized resources provided as a service over the Internet. Users need not have any knowledge of, expertise in, or control over the technology infrastructure in the “cloud†that supports them. The concept generally incorporates combinations of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and other recent technologies that rely on the Internet to satisfy the computing needs of users. Cloud computing services often provide common business applications online that are accessed from a web browser, while the software and data are stored on the servers.
This one day work shop on cloud computing has the objective of introducing the practical ways to effectively utilize this computing style. The programme of the workshop is tuned to meet the requirements among participants from industry, academia, research institutions, the Government and service providers across the state of Kerala. Global market leaders in Cloud Computing as well as leading R&D teams shall be available to share the experience and guide the potential end users.
