108’s Control and Dispatch Centre (CDC) is functioning from Technopark, Trivandrum.
The service, ‘Kerala Emergency Medical Service Project (KEMP) Dial 108 in Emergency’, was launched in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with Mumbai-based organization, Ziqitza Health Care Ltd. In three years of service in Thiruvananthapuram, 108 ambulance services handled 66,212 cases.
All 108 ambulances are equipped with GPS and so that the control center can locate them in the shortest possible time.
“The project became a reality only because of the support and guidance of the State Government, Kerala Medical Services Corporation, National Rural Health Mission and officers of the State health department” saide Radheesh V, General Manager of ‘KEMP Dial 108 in Emergency’.
