Technopark gets ISO 14001:2004

Technopark has been certified under Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2004) and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001:2007) for design, development, marketing services and overall maintenance of infrastructure facilities for IT/ITES companies. The leading technical inspectorate, TUV SUD South Asia carried out the certification.

And now the Technopark is the only IT Park in India having ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 and CMMI LEVEL 4 certifications, said a state IT department source.

ISO 14001:2004 is a standard required for meeting PCB regulations. It enhances sustainable growth by preventing pollution. The certification outlines Technopark as a pollution-free campus and ensures that it operates in an environmentally sound manner.

The e-waste management system shows the efforts taken by Technopark towards maintaining the status of the greenest Technopolis. OHSAS 18001:2007 maintained by Technopark enhances Safety at Workplace through prevention of ill health and injury.

The efficient security system, fire safety system, traffic regulation system shows excellence of employee safety inside the campus. OHSAS certification will enable Technopark to maintain adequate control on occupational health and safety risks and to improve performances. The certifications will be an important step taken by Technopark towards making it a better place of work.
