Laju said his own experience of getting misled by an autod river that gave him a spark to think about such a website. “One day at Banglore, one auto driver took me to various places and finally dropped me at a nearby theatre after charging me a hefty fare. Then I felt the need of info ontheatres,” said Laju, who later contacted the  Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation and Kerala Cine Exhibitors Association. He got the details of all A and B class theatres in the state. He travelled the entire state and talked to all theatre owners.  After getting positive response from them, he developed the website, which was launched recently.

As many as 485 theaters in the State have linked with the website and regularly providing the movies and show timings.   The site recently listed movie data from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka theaters.

A multiplatform mobile application of todayscinema.com will be launched soon.

In addition to the  show timings, online movie ticket booking facility will be available shortly in the website.
