Practitioners and stakeholders in the health sector from different parts of the country and outside will assemble to acquire knowledge on the best global and local practices in the area of healthcare procurement.
Dr. M. Ayyappan, Chairman and Managing Director of HLL will inaugurate the Training programme to be held at Estuary Island Resort, Poovar, near Thiruvananthapuram at 9.30 A.M. on November 27, 2013.
“Healthcare procurement, a highly complex field of modern healthcare is evolving everyday with nations developed and developing, contributing to its multifaceted-ness. HLL has more than two-decade long experience in the field of procurement of Medical Equipments & Devices. The programme is expected to enlighten the participants on the reach, relevance, prospects and innovations of modern healthcare procurements” said Dr M Ayyappan.
The main objectives of the programme are to provide insights into internationally acclaimed range of health procurement practices and the intricacies of demand forecasting and tendering procedures. The training programme will also provide updates on extant contract management practices and also give the participants an insight into the quality standards and on innovative tools including procurement automation.
Expert and competent faculties from World Bank, WHO, Government of India and HLL will lead the course sessions. The course topics include Regulatory Aspects of Health Sector Procurement, Procurement Principles and Policies in Health Sector, Identification of Products / Services to be procured in health sector and Demand Forecasting.
HLL Academy, set up as an independent training, research and consulting division of HLL Lifecare Limited, is all set to offer courses in niche areas in procurement management, clinical engineering and management, sales management and social marketing.
