TechnoparkToday.com>> March 20, 2014: Dear green lovers, let me start with a small story; based on a group of youngsters who are Engineers, Advocates and Management Professionals turned to be Environmentalists to materialize an idea of social service to paint earth green.
The idea popped up on their consecutive trips to various unexplored destinations in Kerala. Those places made them think that the real life exists in forest. This was the Key to “GGSE”. The first move was creating a Facebook page. Later they realized that action does speak louder than words. Thus holding their hands together they themselves got out to the public.
The unveiling of GGSE (Go Green Save Earth) was done on Earth day 22nd of April 2013 with Environmental programs at Technopark campus. Their intention was to attract youth towards green activities and to develop the culture of going green. Plantations by the employees within the park were a true expression of their tribute to the mother earth. Later on Environmental day was also celebrated on schools around Kazhakuttom and in Technopark Campus.
“The story is about the framers of GGSE”.
Since 2013 the activities done by GGSE have attracted mass viewers. Initiating CSR activities towards social welfare and environmental protection is the core components of GGSE. Planting saplings; creating awareness among youth, replacing plastic bags to protect the environment, implementing rain water harvesting, promoting and implementing the use of renewable sources of energy are some of the activities GGSE is associated with. Empowering the youth with environmental activities and diverting them to green activities is what GGSE follows.
Let us start acting, be part of our Mission 2014
