TechnoparkToday.com(April, 2014):  Technopark has withdrawn the decision to charge for open car parking slot in Technopark campus, Trivandrum.  TechnoparkToday.com along with all techies welcomes this,  and thank to technopark authorities for taking such a decision in favor of techies.

When we published the news about the parking fee(http://www.technoparktoday.com/fee-open-space-parking-technopark-campus/), Techies came up with their concerns, both in portal as well as in social media like Facebook and twitter. Organizations like Prathidhwani and Voice of Techies strongly opposed the idea of fee for open parking space in technopark and they said it is completely unjustifiable to introduce parking charges for open car parking slots. Also we thought this is  not the right method to find money for maintenance and administrative cost.

Prathidhwani submitted a petition to Technopark CEO (Click Here ),and Voice of Techies conducted an online petition campaign ( Click Here ), and submitted a written complaint with signatures to the Business Development Manager of Technopark.( Click Here ). Many techies sent personal mail to authorities demanding the withdrawal of completely unjustifiable decision to introduce parking charges for open car parking slots.

Thanks to everyone worked behind this initiative to revoke the fee for open car parking space, and thanks technopark for once again standing for techies interests.

  1. This is techies victory for sure. if we unite and raise voice against such injustice, the results will happen. this is a big lesson for every one of us. thanks for everyone worked for it.

  2. Success…. but you should give due credits to the voice of techies. their movement made the difference, they are the people directly went to the park center, and strongly stood for the parking fee revocation. And they spread this news to all major print medias and online medias. So basically Voice of Techies deserve the credit of this.

  3. what about prathidwani? they also submitted a petition to technopark CEO. it their effort also.

  6. thanks for the details, many people are still thinking like prathidwani was behind the decision of revoke the open parking fee.now only we came to know the truth. and some of the people trying hard to convince the techies so.

  7. Prathidhawani also submitted a petition to parkcenter authorities requesting withdrawal of the parking fee. please mention it also

  8. kiran, that’s the same misunderstanding happened in the case of train stoppage in kazhakkoottam. most of the techies are believing that the train stoppage happened because of the short film created by prathidwani. ( i’m not saying they didn’t contributed, yes that made a big difference), but the action council people actually made it. from my understandings, prathidwani started with good visions and for techies, but today, they became a puppet in some technopark management. so they can’t take strong stand. they are simply giving petition, and nothing else. parking fee cancellation decision taken by the efforts of voice of techies – just see the difference in the petition description.

  9. Thanks for fighting for techies. similarly please take up other issues in technopark

  10. giving a petition for everything won’t make result. instead of getting credits, you have to work for it also. check how many such petitions are followed up and made the result? including the recent – pre-paid auto counter in technopark?

  11. please donot discourage any techie initiative. remember we don’t have many organization to raise our voices in any platform.

  12. Dear All,
I was one of the prathidwhani member who went to Technopark CEO/Vasudevan Sir and submitted petition,
I understand that Voice of Techies is an AAP concern and will be interested to claim the complete credit.
But please do not negate others effort while doing so.
    Regards,
    AVK

  13. VOT just published the work they did against the parking fee decision (with proof) and the results , also thanking everyone who signed their petition. I don’t see them claiming that it’s their actions and not prathidhwani’s actions led to the withdrawal of decision. From where you got the idea that they’re claiming the complete credit?

  14. “So basically Voice of Techies deserve the credit of this.” – Please read the post of Abin Mathew 🙂

  15. Unless Abin Mathew is someone in VOT leadership, it’s personal view of a technoparktoday reader. That doesn’t justify your comment that VOT “will be interested to claim the complete credit.” because they haven’t claimed anything. 🙂

  16. 🙂 If Abin Mathew is not part of VoT, my comment is void and invalid. It is implicit.
With Spokesmanesque Statement below, was i wrong to assume 🙂 ?

“Success…. but you should give due credits to the voice of techies. their movement made the difference, they are the people directly went to the park center, and strongly stood for the parking fee revocation. 17. VoiceOf Techies

Sorry to disappoint you, Abin Mathew is not a VOT member yet. We will be welcoming him happily if he’s interested and have the same ideologies as VOT. 🙂

  18. Sure.. thanks for the clarification.

  19. Ajith Anirudhan

    1) >>>>they became a puppet in some technopark management.
    –> which management?

    2) >>>>so they can’t take strong stand.
    —> strong stand like ?

All the groups originated from technopark should be standing for the techies. Your comments do not help co-existence. Have you seen the ‘shortfilm’ taken by Prathidhwani on train stoppage? The homage is paid to the action council by showing the posters of their protests. Also, do you know about any efforts made by Prathidhwani for the trains other than this shortfilm?

Ignorance shouldn’t be celebrated as bliss. People are reading your comments. 🙂

  20. Ajith Anirudhan

    Manu again… 🙂

Please tell me what all you know about Prathidhwani’s efforts on pre-paid auto counter. What made you make a comment like this. Would love to hear. 🙂

  21. Ajith, those who’s having common sense can get the answers for your questions. Anyway, please stick on to the ideologies all the time, not only in the beginning.

  22. about the train stoppage – media including technoparktoday projected prathidwani as the sole reason behind the train stoppage in kazhakkoottam, but you know the truth. how the action council people worked hard to achieve that. nobody ever recognized or realized such a people existed, or the entire results happened because of their effort.

  23. There was a reception to the malabar express given by prathidhwani, in that we had called all members of action council and gave them the our vote of thanks.
http://www.prathidhwani.org/news/grand-reception-for-malabar-express-on-31st-jan-kazhakoottam/ in this picture, action council leader is visible.

I am not sure, why you are going in a vehement bashing spree.

  24. Ajith Anirudhan

    Manu,
As Anoop mentioned above, its evident from your comments that you have some sort of odd feelings against Prathidhwani. You couldn’t even substantiate your convictions and now you are worried about Prathidhwani’s ideological decline. Seriously, whats wrong buddy ?

  25. guys, please stop fighting. Does it really matter whether it is prathidwani or VOT? end of the day, its all for techies, as a group we should stay united and fight for our rights. on the same time we should spread the awareness about our own responsibility too.

in my opinion – many organizations should be there for techies. number means strength and each of them can concentrate on particular thing.

  26. Everything VOT did was published in change.org petition. Please check it sir. You will know how Abin Mathew got finer details.
