Cappuccino – Short Film by Techies crossed 2.30 Lakh Hits

Nithin Nandakumar, working at Infosys, has recently come up with his new directorial venture, a 34-minute malayalam short film packed with a simple narrative style, excellent acting, amazing cinematography and an exclusive soundtrack. …And did the formula workout among the masses??? Well, the film, titled “Cappuccino”, released on the eve of Valentine’s Day this year went on to become an instant hit on YouTube, with a viewership count that raised above 1,00,000 within just 24 days of its release!

“Cappuccino” narrates the tale of a young man (Shyam) who falls head-over-heels in love over a cup of coffee. There are two female leads, one(Maya) who becomes the love interest of the protagonist, and the other (Priya), his friend. How the ‘cappuccino’ changes the course of life of all three forms the rest of the narrative.

The film, though shot with a simple narrative style, has a very strong message to convey. Writer and Director Nithin Nandakumar has also handled the cinematography and editing departments for the film. Sarin H Nair (UST), Minu Babu (Infosys) and Priya Ravi(Infy) play the lead characters in the film. Arya R Prasad (Infy) joined the project as an Assistant Director.

The soundtrack of “Cappuccino” has been composed and sung by Unnee Udayakumar(X-Infoscion). The songs were penned by Unnee and Minu, who both have worked as Associate Directors as well. Resma S Raj has rendered the female vocal. BGMs are by Jackson Vijayan, and sound design by Praveen Sreenivasan. Jacob Chettimattom (Innobs) handled the production department for Hara Productions, who have financed this venture.

Nithin has previously associated with a handful of short-films and advertisement projects. Sarin, who plays the lead role, is also immensely passionate about cinema, and has appeared in a couple of major Mollywood films. He is actively working on other ongoing productions as well.

Minu Babu is a new-face, and is a grace to watch for her acting prowess and girl-next-door appearance. Minu is proving to be a promise to the industry, and has already been blessed with a handful of offers. Priya has already proven herself through her debut appearance through another short film production.

English subtitles track has been enabled online for “Cappuccino”, which makes this production appealing to a global audience. Watch “Cappuccino” online and encourage this young team of promising and passionate individuals!
