TechnoparkToday.com>> Oct 10, 2014: Techies were excited on Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s Independence day announcement to introduce Samraksha counters to sell chapati’s in various locations, including Technopark.
However, more than a month after the announcement, the order is still in papers. Techies were waiting for an option where they get food at reasonable price and wondering if the outlet is still under red tapes.
As per the initial reports, the outlets would have opened on August 19. However, nothing major has happened after the announcement.
“We are closely following up on the opening of the outlet. Government’s plan was to set up Samraksha stalls in various institutions in the city, including government hospitals. Authorities are waiting to launch the Samraksha projct with opening of a food outlet initially in a Hospital, and after that the counter in Technopark will start functioning. We got the assurance from Chief Minister’s office that the counter will be opening by end of this month” Said Rajeev Krishnan, Secretary of Prathidhwany, the sociocultural organization of techies.

When we heard the low cost jail chappathi counter is opening in technopark, we were happy. because the food and restaurants in technopark are expensive and the quality of food is not good also. techies can’t go outside always because of the parking problem and they may not have that luxury to take a break for an hour.
so please consider it as a request from the techies, please provide the cheaper food options in technopark like jail chappathi, kudumbasree, indian coffee house etc…
