TMA’s Session on Cyber Crimes

Trivandrum Management Association (TMA) is organizing a lecture, titled Catching the Virtual Thief.The lecture comes in the wake of increasing cyber crimes and will aim at create awareness about safeguarding oneself against them. Cyber Detective & Crime Investigator Dhanya Menon will deliver the informative lecture at 06.00 PM on Thursday, 3 December 2009 at the Hotel Residency Tower.

Revealing what the gen-next,  tech-savvy criminals are capable of, Dhanya will talk on how to safeguard  oneself  from internet frauds by careful handling of your own computer, Internet connection, email IDs, mobile phone and SIM cards.

The issue of Cyber espionage in the corporate world and how to stop pilferage of data, attrition and information theft that can shake the foundation of firms will also be elaborated. Dhanya Menon,  a management graduate and consultant on Information Security, Intellectual Property related issues on the cyber space, security audit and IT policy etc, has been investigating various cyber related cases in India and abroad since 2006.

The lecture is open for non members as well.There will be a registration fee of Rs. 100 per person.
