Technopark supports Corporation for a clean NH

TechnoparkToday.com>>  IT companies in Technopark have lend their helping hand to city Corporation to clean up areas of National Highway from Kazhakoottam to Kovalam beach.  City Corporation has conducted a preliminary discussion with representatives of Technopark on Wednesday.  Dr.T.M Thomas Isaac, Mayor K Chandrika, and health standing committee members attended.

A part of the fund for the projects will be earmarked from the Corporate Social Responsibility fund of IT companies.

Highlights of the project:
1. Installation of aerobic bins on various locations at National Highway
2. Reduce dumping of domestic waste in wards near to NH through awareness programmes
3. CCTVs will be installed to check dumping of waste
4. Major programmes will be launched to clean up beach
5. Large scale campaign through electronic and online media
6. Experts from Technopark will be roped in for sanitation campaign
7. An information system will be developed with support of IT companies so that citizens will get an interactive platform to deal with waste management issues.
