TechnoparkToday.com>> Vasudevan, MV as he’s fondly known – one of the strong pillars of Technopark bids adieu to Kerala’s IT realm tomorrow – March 31, 2015 after 24 years of successfully serving the Kerala Government.
MV has been with Technopark since its inception and as the park gears to celebrate its silver jubilee, he decides to step down. Indeed his absence will be a great loss to Technopark and Kerala IT!
After a brief stint in Mumbai, MV started his career in KELTRON in New Delhi in 1979 and had a great run until 1990 when he decided to return to his roots in Kerala and joined Technopark – India’s first IT park. Starting from the office of the Special Advisor to Industries Minister Shri K P P Nambiar at the Secretariate, the team of five most vibrant team under the leadership of G Vijaya Raghavan began the story of the inception of Technopark – the game changer for IT in Kerala.
“Technopark offered lots of opportunities to meet and interact with great people such as Prime Ministers Late P V Narasimha Rao, Shri Manmohan Singh, Chief Ministers of various states and union Ministers and many other international diplomats. But the biggest kick came from the fact that I played a vital role in building such a huge campus, initiating so many companies to set up offices and providing employment opportunities for 50,000 IT/ITES professionals and 200,000 indirectly has been a dream come true and highly satisfying experience.” MV said.
For many who came to work at Technopark either at the Park Centre or to set up operations, MV was a pillar of strength for them, their mentor and guide who made it easy for them with all the procedures and processes of the park.
As MV bids adieu, he leaves a huge void which may never be filled as many of his earlier colleagues did. Technopark will not be the Technopark we knew once he moves on!
But he says, “I didn’t expect to get anything back, didn’t expect recognition for my efforts, and didn’t expect my genius to be discovered or my love to be understood. It is just that I am completing the circle. Not out of pride, inability or arrogance, but simply because whatever no longer fits in my life. I am closing the door, changing the record, cleaning the house, and get ridding the dust. I am stopping being who I am and becoming who I am.”
