TechnoparkToday.com>> The next building in Technopark has been named after Shiriya, a river which flows through Kasargode and Kozhikode. Tender for construction of the Rs 268 Cr building will be issued soon by Technopark.
Shiriya will be constructed in such a way that it will get the title of building with the largest floor plate in the state. Floor plate is the amount of rentable area in a single floor. The 9 lakh square feet building will have 12 floors, of which 8 floors will be given as office space and 4 for parking.
The Shiriya building will have a floor plate of 75000 square feet, while even the 1 million square feet twin towers Ganga-Yamuna had only 26000 square feet floor plate. The Shiriya will host ICT Academy and incubations. Larger floor plate will make it an ideal place for BPOs. The building has been designed by Chennai-based architect firm C R Narayana Rao.
Around 5.83 lakh square feet of space will be available for IT companies and 3.17 lakhs will be for parking. The building could accommodate around 685 cars.
