TechnoparkToday.com>> Technopark is all set to widen its entry gate to a 65-meter wide one with a 2.5 crore project. The proposal to widen the entrance has been approved by the Technopark board. Technopark CEO KG Girish Babu has suggested a twisted path plan for the entrance where the 65-meter width will be achieved by incorporating the path of TCS to the main gate. TCS’s 30-acre campus is adjacent to the Technopark main gate.
Technopark is a workplace of over 45,000 IT/ITES professionals and there is a long trail of vehicles during the rush hours in the Technopark main gate. If a vehicle stops at the main gate for security check or issuing pass, the result will be a long queue of vehicles behind it. Sometimes it also creates block in the NH too. The proper widening of the main gate will resolve these issues.
In addition to the 4-lane main road to the Technopark campus, a 2-lane exit also has been included in the proposal. The entry to TCS and exit of Technopark campus will intersect at one point.
Technopark is already in discussion with Keltron on introduction of traffic signals at the road. NH authority of India also agreed to synchronize its upcoming traffic signals this.
TCS has agreed to provide land temporarily to deviate traffic during the construction period.
I am not sure who is the beneficiary here. TCS alone? Technopark doesn’t seem to get any benefit, only more traffic jam in the intersections and a traffic signal inside (for 100 meters).
As far as I know, TCS haven’t allowed the traffic through their property to Phase 3. If they allow that, this is acceptable. Otherwise, why should phase 1 people suffer more?
Look closely, and you will see the trick. Entry to phase 1 – same.
Current exit of phase 1 = Entry for TCS
Exit of Phase 1, and TCS is supposed to come after the current exit, ie, more towards opposite of b6.
Not much road widening, only TCS gets an independent entry and exit!!!
Please correct me if I am wrong.
I think you could be wrong at some places. It says 4 lane entrance. If that’s the case then,
Entry to phase 1 = current entry + current exit of phase 1
The rest of the gate and exit has to be made towards the TCS side (since in the shown plan, the gate begins after the current visitors way). I am not sure, but i think that part of the land is given to TCS for making their own entry gates. Since both entry points are being converged here, its fair that TCS gets a separate entry.
