TechnoparkToday.com>> The roads within Technopark Campus will now glow with LED bulbs. The work replacing the damaged antique model lamp posts with new LED lamp posts is progressing. This move by Technopark, will definitely reduce the power consumption for lighting the campus.
The new lamp posts with LED bulbs were installed and started glowing in the Nila-Bhavani stretch, rear gate till Chandragiri/Quest Towers, Tata Elxsi – IITMK road. The erection work between fire Station and Nila is completed, and the LED bulbs will glow soon after the minor work that is pending.
Most of the old MH fittings are now being replaced with LED. The bulbs were consuming power of 250W, but hereafter with LED, the power consumption would be reduced to 20W and that is a fair difference. The new posts are of 5 meter height and looks fashioned.
This is currently done in stages and Technopark authorities planned to replace maximum number of old posts in Technopark Phase 1. As next step, the work will be soon started between Gayathri building and Cricket ground.
Moreover, High-mast lights are placed near Nila parking where Techies found hard to reach their vehicles during night. The same is set near the rear gate as well. In Technopark Phase III, Solar LED lights are being used to reduce the power consumption.
