TechnoparkToday.com>> Employees at Infopark Cherthala are gearing up for a voluntary blood donation camp on June 8th 2016. Organised by leading Salesforce consulting company Dazeworks Technologies Pvt Ltd in association with IMA, the cross-company drive is set to be the first-of-its kind at the Infopark facility.
The event is part of the organization’s strong commitment towards the Pledge 1% initiative – an inspiring idea put forward by global tech giant Salesforce.com. The Pledge 1% model is a philanthropic initiative through which a company commits itself towards giving back to the community as part of its core founding philosophy. This is made possible through a 1-1-1 model – giving 1 percent of equity, 1 percent of employee time and 1 percent of product/services to the community at large.
Voluntary blood donation is not just a CSR initiative, but is more of an individual’s responsibility to the society. The initiative to hold the camp within the premises instead of ferrying donors to nearby blood banks is expected to bring in more registrations. “We aim to make it easier for volunteers to donate by organizing the camp here. We hope this is the start of a growing trend embracing the noble cause of blood donation and look forward to a high level of participation from the companies and employees here” says Shivanath Devinarayanan, CEO, Dazeworks Technologies.
