one of India’s oldest full-service law firms, organizes a half-day session titled “MORE EFFECTIVE COMPLIANCE WITH THE POSH ACT: Perspectives and Insights for ICC Members, Decision Makers and People Who Manage Teams”.
The Session is scheduled for July 15, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Park Centre Exhibition Hall, Technopark, Trivandrum . The session will be followed by High-Tea.
The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 & Rules 2013) mandates “Employers” to take specific steps that minimize the risk of sexual harassment at workplaces.
This session assumes that the participants will have a basic familiarity withe POSH Act. While there will be a quick recap of the Act, the focus would mainly be on how the broad definition “sexual harassment” means several actions are potentially covered; how to handle complaints of sexual harassment (both before it is sent to the ICC/LCC and thereafter, by the ICC). Case study based group discussions will enhance knowledge by getting participants to apply their learning to specific scenarios that can arise in real life.
The participation fees would be INR 750 for member of IWN/CII & Yi, and INR 1000 for others.
