‘sbiINTOUCH’ in NILA Lobby – Techies gets an Automated Easy Banking Solutions

TechnoparkToday.com>> State Bank of India(SBI) extends its Intouch branch services to techies in Technopark Trivandrum. Full-fledged operations are expected to commence in couple of weeks’ time at SBI Intouch branch, Ground floor, NILA Complex, Technopark, Trivandrum.

With the launch of sbiINTOUCH on 1st July, 2014, State Bank of India was the first Bank in India to introduce the concept of “Digital Banking”. State of the art technology like Debit Card Printing Kiosks, Interactive Smart Tables, Interactive Digital Screens, Remote Experts through video call etc were introduced to provide a completely different experience through online self-service mode. The key feature of these branches is that customer can open savings bank account through Account Opening Kiosk (AOK) within 10 minutes. Besides customers can have access to a vast array of Banking related activities and products. To continue with the digital journey, branches are being opened under the sub-brand “sbiINTOUCH”.

SBI has collaborated with global IT Services behemoth Accenture to create these futuristic digital branches which will offer some of the most advanced banking services.For example, for the first time in the history of Indian banking, you can now get a personalised debit card within 10 minutes of opening the account.

These branches would be empowered with interactive LCDs mounted on walls, which will help SBI customers to map out their financial plans using SBI’s expertise and assistance. Instant loan approvals, assistance in choosing investment portfolios, access to latest mutual funds etc are some of the activities which can be accomplished in these branches. Another very interesting feature would be remote experts who would be instantly available to consult you via video conferencing.Accenture has helped SBI to design the branch layouts, back end operations of these digital services, integration of all banking processes as well as training of employees and support for ongoing operations.

The Branch timings for sbiINTOUCH are same as existing regular Branches. The inner section of the branch having the workstations, AOK and Servers will be closed after business hours (10.00 AM to 4.00 PM). However, the outer section having the ATM, Cash Deposit Machine (CDM), Swayam (Passbook Printer) and Cheque deposit machine will be open for 24*7 access.
