TechnoparkToday.com>> Kazhakuttom cyber city police directed people offering paying guest facilities near Technopark to recruit security guards and to install security cameras in their premises. There are around 162 paying guest facilities around Technopark. Police asked them to form groups of 10 based on their location and to arrange one exclusive security guard for each groups. Police had already instructed the PG owners to install cameras and good lights at their facilities, lighting up the streets.
These arrangements are as part of the Secure Thiruvananthapuram project of the city police, to improve the security through public participation.
The Kazhakuttom cyber city police is also ready to establish a surveillance network from Vetturoad to Technopark campus with 12 cameras.
As per Secure Thiruvananthapuram project, the police identified locations for security cameras including AJ Hospital, Aswathi Studio, Bypass junction, Market junction, Kariavattom Campus, Vetturoad, CSI Mission hospital, Al Saj, Nalumukku, and Technopark main gate. All of these will be night vision cameras.
