Malayalm Pallikkoodam opening at Technopark

TechnoparkToday.com>>  Technopark is all set to host a center of Malayalm Pallikkoodam, a forum led by poet Madhusoodanan Nair, for the promotion of Malayalam language and culture.

Classes will be held every Sunday. Admission started for classes ‘Aksharakalari’ and ‘Bhasha Padanakalri.’ Children aged five and above are eligible for admission.

The sessions will include writing on sand and stone slate, songs that help children improve their diction, poems, proverbs, plays and puzzles that encourage them to think. The syllabus also includes conversation, recitation, storytelling, folk songs, grammar plus the inculcation of traditional values and general knowledge through the mother tongue.

A big attraction of the sessions are the interactions with eminent personalities from various fields, games and short trips. The classes will be handled by poets Madhusoodanan Nair, Sugathakumari, Prabha Varma, filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Dr Achut Shankar, sculptor Kanayi Kunhiraman, and D Babu Paul.

The project is a joint effort of Pratidhwani and Malayalam Pallikoodam.
