TechnoparkToday.com>> In light of mass lay-offs and job insecurities, techies submitted a memorandum to the Kerala CM, Pinarayi Vijayan. The representatives of Prathidhwani, the socio cultural organization of technopark employees, met the CM and informed him about the job insecurity and lack of welfare schemes in the IT sector.
In the memorandum, techies demanded to form a welfare board for IT employees. It requested government to make schemes such as National Pension Scheme mandatory for all permanent employees in the sector.
“IT employees are now paying contribution to Kerala shops and commercial establishments workers welfare board. Considering the unique issues, we would require a separate board for IT employees,” the memorandum said.
“Chief Minister ensured us, he will check the request in detail and government will consider the demands we mentioned in the request.” Prathidhwani representatives said to TechnoparkToday.com
Prathidhwani President Vineeth Chandran, Prathidhwani Secretary Rajeev Krishnan, Tresurer Raneesh A R, Vice president Magi Y V, Sreejith Kenoth, Athira N Raj were in the Prathidhwani delegation.
Representatives of Prathidhwani also submitted their suggestions to improve safety of women employees in IT field.
