Mayor V K Prasanth inaugurates women’s day celebrations at Technopark

TechnoparkToday.com>> With regard to International Women’s day 2018 , Blood donation and Wellness camps were conducted as part of Women’s day celebrations at Technopark which was the flag off event for the week long women’s day celebrations planned at Technopark by eWit & Prathidhwani Women Forum.

The camps held at Thejaswini building was inaugurated by honorable Mayor V K Prasanth who praised the organizers for conducting a women only blood donation program. From various companies, 88 women employees arrived to donate blood out of which 37 could donate.

Chitra Saisekar (eWit President, CEO of Finastra), Sudipta Subramanian ( Secretary, Prathidhwani Women Forum), Abhilash ( HR manager, Technopark), Ajeesh ( Thejus) attended the program and addressed the audience.

As part of the medical & health camps – free diet counselling, BP checkup, Blood test, Breast Cancer screening and multiple medical consultations including Gynecology, Ayurveda, Psychologists were conducted. Apart from the women techies, event was attended also by the Non IT Women staff of Technopark

eWit, Prathidwani Women forum , Tejus the Voluntary Blood Donors group , HLL Life Care, Terumo Penpol,  Sree Chitra Institute, Regional Cancer Centre and Red FM collaborated to organise the camps focusing on total well-being of women and also with an aim to bring the focus back on women blood donors, slowly and steadily busting the myth of women being the weaker gender not fit to be life savers when it comes to donating blood.
