Abhimanyu Ramanandan starrer ‘Kalla Sakshi’ to be screened at Prathidwani QISA Film Festival

TechnoparkToday.com>>  Days after the death of an artist in an accident, employees of Technopark are all set to pay him homage, in a most befitting way.  Employee of UST Global Abhimanyu Ramanandan, known for his roles in award-winning film Ottamuri Velicham, Dakini and as a lead in the popular album ‘Mounam Sollum Varthaigal, passed away in a fatal accident occurred at Mangalapuram recently.

Now the short film ‘Kalla Sakshi’ where Abhimanyu played the lead role is all set for its premier at Prathidwani Qisa Film Festival at Technopark on December 16.

‘Kalla Sakshi’, a whodunnit story, is directed by Deepak S Jay after his much acclaimed short film ’45 seconds.’ “Kalla Sakshi is about a thief who enters a house to burgle.  A murder takes place in the house.  The commotion by the house members traps the burglar in the loft for days. What would happen to the thief and will the murder mystery be solved forms the subject of the film,” Deepak told TechnoparkToday.com.

“Kalla Sakshi as a film was made possible because of the effort made by Abhimanyu and this film is dedicated in memory of him,” he said.

Deepak S. Jay made his directorial debut with 45 Seconds, which won several awards including Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editor and Best Actor in short film festivals such as Bharathan Short Film Fest, DFFK, SIIMA and many other.

Kalla Sakshi is produced by Aneesh Sasidharan under the banner Oasis Film House.  The story is written by Arun Raj and the screenplay is by Deepak S. Jay and Arun Raj.  The film was entirely shot in Ottpalam.  Tobin Thomas has handled the camera and Arun Venjaramoodu (Aadu 2 and Njan Marykutty fame) supervised the art department.

2018’s state award winner Appu N. Bhattathiri (Ottamuri Velicham) has edited Kalla Sakshi.  Bilas Nair (Sexy Durga, Veeram), Prasanth Madathil (Angamaly Diaries, Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil), Sunny (Spadikam fame Thorappan Bastin), Arun Kumar (Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Ramaniyechiyude Namathil ), Dicson, Janet Biju, Dhanya and Amirtha have acted in this film along with fifty other junior artists.  Velappan was the Production Controller and Renjith Kumar the Associate Director.  Sanil Sathyadev has handled the Media Design.
