One of the first IT parks in India, Technopark Trivandrum on an upgrade mode with new and refurbished works to welcome back techies. it has been almost two years since the technopark campus operated in its full strength.
Technopark invited tenders for walkway solar street lights, hybrid EV charging station etc. A walkway & recreational area built between Gayathri building and Clubhouse (beside the therriyar). the new rainwater harvesting pond is finishing. The open gym walkways and solar lighting would be there. New bike parking spaces added by converting the unused spaces in technopark campus. The renovation works in old buildings like Nila, Bhavani & Tejaswini also started along with the smart, energy efficient fittings.
Travancore hall and Technopark amphitheatre, which are used for various cultural programmes and events, are being refurbished. Resurfacing of the internal roads will also be executed in the coming months.
“Projects that will provide different and better facilities are being planned and implemented to welcome the employees returning back to work. As part of this activity, tenders are being invited for improving the existing infrastructure facilities as well as new initiatives that ensure harmony with nature and future demands of employees are in progress,” said John M Thomas, the CEO of Technopark.

Paver blocks for a two wheeler parking facility for Technopark phase I campus will be laid at a cost of Rs 11.45 lakh. Tenders have been invited to select an agency for providing housekeeping and facility support services for the campus situated in zone A Technopark phase -1 . The tender estimate value is fixed at Rs 1.86 crores. The tender estimate for housekeeping facilities in zone B of Technopark phase 1 campus has been fixed at Rs 5.3 crores. Zone B, Technopark Phase I campus at Trivandrum comprises of covered and uncovered area (including adjacent roads, landscape and common area) of Bhavani building, Thejaswini building (including food court), Pamba and Periyar buildings electric substation building, STP buildings, covered parking and e-toilet. Housekeeping services in zone C will be implemented at a cost of Rs 4.1 crore.
