Technopark, Kerala’s first IT park, welcomed the new CEO on Thursday. Sanjeev Nair, a former Army officer and postgraduate from IIT Mumbai, ascended the office of one of the largest IT parks in the country.
John M Thomas, the previous CEO of IT Parks, resigned in September 2022 for personal reasons. This time, the Kerala government has decided to appoint independent CEOs for different IT parks to facilitate a decentralised development in the IT sector of the state.
Sanjeev carries an experience of over twenty years in the domains of management and project operations, wherein he has led large-scale teams. He has also run essential projects under IT Communication Technology System Operations, Organisational Strategy Innovation, Operational Services, and the like.
Before joining the Indian Army, Mr Nair had completed a business management executive program for the forces. Apart from post-graduating from the prime university, Sanjeev also completed a program in Technology, Operations, HR, and Strategic Management from Madhya Pradesh Military College of Telecommunication Engineering and Army War College.
Mr Nair was also responsible for leading the sales and business development areas in Cyber Intelligence and Data Analytics solutions enterprise. He was also the program director at Innovations for Defence Excellence (IDEX) under the Defence Ministry of the Indian Government. As a part of a government-run initiative, Sanjeev has led multiple programs focusing on innovation and prototype development by bringing in R&D groups, industries, universities, and even start-ups.
