KSUM to Host India’s Largest Beachside Startup Extravaganza – Huddle Global Conclave

TechnoparkToday ( Nov, 2023) : The Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is gearing up for the grand opening of the fifth edition of the Huddle Global Conclave, set to become India’s largest beachside startup event. The three-day conclave, scheduled to commence on November 16, will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, at the picturesque Adimalathura beach near Vizhinjam at 10 am.

KSUM CEO Shri Anoop Ambika announced at a press conference today that the event anticipates the participation of 15,000 delegates, with the opening ceremony presided over by Smt. Tinku Biswal I.A.S, Principal Secretary, Department of Revenue and Housing. Distinguished speakers at the inauguration include Dr Shashi Tharoor, MP; Belgium’s Ambassador to India, Mr Didier Vanderhasselt; Minister Commercial and Head of Austrade South Asia, Ms Catherine Gallagher; and Deputy Managing Director (Transaction Banking & New Initiatives) SBI, Mr Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh.

The conclave will serve as a platform for the convergence of 15,000 delegates from India and abroad, showcasing cutting-edge products from emerging sectors like robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented reality, virtual reality, life sciences, space tech, blockchain, IoT, e-governance, fintech, healthtech, agritech, edutech, and SaS from across the country’s startup ecosystem.The event holds special significance as it aligns with the state’s transition into a knowledge economy, emphasizing the pivotal role played by Kerala’s well-established startup ecosystem across the socio-economic spectrum, highlighted Shri Anoop.

An accompanying expo will provide over 100 nascent companies the opportunity to display their products and interact with technology and industry experts for investment advice. Additionally, a showcase of eco-sustainable and value-added products made from millets, crops, and fruits will be featured.Key speakers during the November 16-18 event include Tourism Minister Shri P A Mohamed Riyas, CEO of ONDC Mr T Koshy, and Member Secretary K-DISC Dr P V Unnikrishnan.

Huddle Global will host keynote sessions, leadership talks, tech talks, and panel discussions, featuring international embassies, industry experts, investors, venture capitalists, and corporate leaders. The event, organized in collaboration with Startup India, Headstart, TiE Kerala, GTech, Startup Middle East, Habitat for Humanity, and Technopark Today, is expected to draw the participation of over 5,000 startups, 400 HNIs, 300 mentors, 200 corporates, 150 investors, and speakers. Distinguished speakers from abroad, including Consulate General of Germany in Bengaluru Mr Achim Burkart and Consul General of Switzerland Mr Jonas Brunschwig, will address various sessions. South African cricketer and motivational speaker Jonty Rhodes will share his insights in a dedicated session for startup promoters and enthusiasts.

Prominent figures such as Vice Chancellor of Digital University Kerala Dr Saji Gopinath, Founding Chairman of IBS Software Services Mr V K Mathews, and CEO of Technopark Col Sanjeev Nair, among others, will engage with participants. KSUM Business Development Senior Manager Shri Ashok Kurian Panjikaran, Asst. Manager of Public Relations Mrs Ashitha V A, and Awake Trivandrum CEO Shri Renjith Ramanujam were also present at the press conference.

As the nodal agency of the Kerala Government for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state, KSUM has been organizing ‘Huddle Kerala’ since 2018. The previous editions saw the participation of more than 5,000 startups from across the country, along with investors, government officials, academia members, and the business community.
