TechnoparkToday, Jan 2025: The 13th edition of the ‘PrathidhwaniQisa Film Festival 2024’ (PQFF 2024) concluded in spectacular fashion at Technopark, celebrating the creative talents of IT employees from Technopark, Infopark, and Cyberpark. The festival showcased 32 remarkable short films, highlighting the artistic endeavors of Kerala’s tech community.
Organized by Prathidhwani, the welfare and recreation forum for IT employees at Technopark, the festival brought together technology professionals with a shared passion for filmmaking. Cultural artist and writer Shri Soorya Krishnamoorthy graced the occasion by presenting the awards, sponsored by Kerala Vision Broadband. Shri Muhammed Aneesh, Joint Convenor of Prathidhwani Film Club, presided over the function, and noted film critic Shri M F Thomas delivered the keynote address.
The winners of PQFF 2024 were selected by a distinguished jury panel comprising actor and dubbing artiste Prof. Aliyar, director Shri Prasanth Vijay, and actor Shri Pradeep Kumar. PQFF 2024 Director Shri Rohith K, General Convenor Shri Hari S, and Prathidhwani President Shri Vishnu Rajendran also addressed the audience during the event.
In its 13th year, the festival recognized outstanding achievements in filmmaking with substantial cash prizes. The Best Short Film received Rs 20,000, while the Second Best Short Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay awards carried Rs 10,000 each. Additional accolades were presented for Best Actor, Actress, Cinematographer, and Editor.

- Best Editor: Nikhil Sudarshan (‘Patterns’)
- Abhimanyu Ramanandan Memorial Award for Best Actor: Anumod Sagar, Infosys, Thiruvananthapuram (‘Kintasugi’)
- Ramanandan Memorial Award for Best Actress: Dhanya Parvathy, Strada Global, Kochi (‘Beyond the Door’)
- Viewers Choice Award: ‘Dwayam’ (Director: Amal, Ainsurtech, Thiruvananthapuram)
- Special Jury Award (Acting): Pradeep Joseph, UST (‘Patterns’) and Vinod Kumar Rajan (‘Manikandan’)
PQFF has a rich legacy, being the only film festival exclusively for IT employees. Over the years, it has premiered around 600 short films, providing a unique platform for creative expression within Kerala’s IT community. Past editions have seen luminaries like Shri Shaji N Karun, Shri Vineeth Srinivasan, Shri Adoor Gopalakrishnan, and Shri Amal Neerad, among others, present awards to the winners.
This year’s event upheld the festival’s tradition of excellence, fostering a vibrant intersection of technology and art. With its continued success, PQFF reaffirms the IT community’s passion for storytelling and cinematic creativity.
