I have a doubt. I stay in Kodunganoor, Vattiyoorkavu, Thiruvananthapuram. Most of the days I see this ambulance at least 3 or 4 times a day running in front of my house with full siren on. I wonder how this much of emergencies in and around kulasekharam are occurred in a day. Some times I have a doubt that empty vehicle is also running with its full siren on (pardon me if emergencies are actually there).
What are your instructions to the driver. Should he switch on the siren as soon as he get a call or should he switch it on only when a patient is on board.
i am a staff in the ambulance and we switch on siren soon after we get an infrmtn abt an emergency..on the way to pick up the patient,we turn it on…when we are coming back after dropping the patient,we just turn on the side flashers…..
our group have one bad experience with 108 emergency service,we all r not preffered such service…their staff(driver & emergency helper)can not take away in our choice nearest hospital…
they take away only their choice hospital….
a very bad experience with us…
I think we need to get a little more clarity on that point. The 108 service people will take the patient in to the medical college, not in to the private hospitals of choice, this is what i’ve heard.
But still, we need some more clarity, since if the medical colleges are far, and only the private hospitals are near, so that we can save the patient by giving an emergency treatment, this argument wont be valid.
anybody having more insight in to it, please make it clear for us.
