Technopark’s Business Incubation Centre launches e-learning network

Kerala-based Technopark Technology Business Incubation Centre (T-TBIC) to deliver high quality multi-sensory learning experience for budding entrepreneurs and incubates has launched an e-learning network: http://www.ttbi.smartguruji.com. The e-learning portal was launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri V S Achuthanandan. The objective of this unique initiative is to enhance entrepreneurial talents in much easier and professional way to all the incubated companies operating from various locations in the country.

Technopark-TBI has launched this initiative through its training wing National Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship (NCIIE). NCIIE has tied up with SmartGuruji Learning Systems to facilitate the e-learning platform. Smartguruji is a holistic platform which provides state-of-the-art learning environment leveraging the advances in technology without losing the advantages of traditional methods of teaching to impart high-quality learning experience. Smartguruji offers the complete talent lifecycle ecosystem of assessment, skill enhancement and industry partnership for talent absorption.

“This new initiative is another first from Technopark-TBI adding one more feather in our cap. We hope this will encourage more and more budding entrepreneurs to start their own enterprise rather than looking for jobs elsewhere. Such a culture will bring a good and healthy change in our society too.” said Technopark CEO & Chairman- T-TBI, Mervin Alexander IPoS.

Courses in Entrepreneurship Development and Software Engineering have been launched through the e-learning system. The various courses to be conducted through this platform are: certified online course in entrepreneurship; crash course in entrepreneurship development and business plan preparation; software engineering course certified by Technopark Software Engineering Competency Centre (TSECC) and a management course for entrepreneurs and incubatees in association with National Institute of Personal Management (NIPM) trust, Trivandrum.

The interactive course content provided through a user friendly interface will explain all the vivid verticals of entrepreneurship in simple terms with elaborate examples. The faculty comprises of entrepreneurship gurus and highly qualified experts from the industry. Students will now be able to gain maximum from the live training provided and access the vast repository of knowledge along with high professional mentoring in just a single click.

“The combined intellectual manpower of Technopark -TBI and Industry leaders in various domain have come together to conceptualize this program. This training venture is another instance of the perceptive minds at T-TBI. Implementation of this program will help to cut down the time needed to exchange ideas and to train the new incubators, which will naturally mean more time for them to work on their core project. A twining of state -of- the- art technology and the advantages of traditional teaching method will result in high quality learning experience for each participant of this program” said Mr. K C C Nair, Secretary and Registrar – T-TBI.

NCIIE (National Centre for Innovation Incubation & Entrepreneurship) is the training arm of Technopark-TBI has been conducting courses in Entrepreneurship Development for the innovators, engineering/management students, and Courses in Software Engineering for the business start-ups, students as well as for the IT entrepreneurs. NCIIE is also organizing various residential and non-residential Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) in Entrepreneurship with the support DST & DSIR. NCIIE is a joint association between Indian Institute of Information technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K) and Entrepreneurship Development institute of India (EDII) with the support of National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. NCIIE assists potential entrepreneurs to take up entrepreneurship in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
