Silsila…Love it or leave it..!

Art is usually an expression of one’s ability or an effort to substantiate his/her love for the art. Hit or flop is not the choice of the creator, it’s decided by viewers. An artist usually gets satisfied with his creation, just like a mother loves her child. There is no higher pain than tasting neglect and teasing from the part of audience. The feeling of the artist is often not considered by the audience, including you and me.

One of the latest incident involves a man who was led to the brink of suicide just for the sin of making an album – the notorious ‘Silsila’. In an exclusive interview with media, director, singer, actor, and lyricist of the album, Harishankar unveiled the extend of pain he had to suffer for fulfilling his dream of visualizing the song. Many Malayalees jumped into the bandwagon, just to tease, poke, and humiliate him, unaware of the mindset of Harishankar and team. The song uploaded to YouTube became a hit (notoriously) and carried umpteen hate comments.

Harishankar is teacher, aspiring writer, and a painter. Like majority of aspiring artists, he too does not come under the category of so called ‘blessed’ or ‘highly talented’. He tried to do something within his limitation and we gave them heights of negative publicity with the tag “The worst Malayalam album”.

Now Harishankar planning to write a novel based on the mental agony that he got from the audience.
