Facelift for Thampanoor Bus Terminal

The proposed KSRTC bus terminal at Thampanoor is expected to change the face of Capital City. The 56-crore project is expected to complete by 2012. Apart from the bus terminal, the spot will also host a 12-storeyed commercial complex, of which three will be for shopping and 9 as office space. One will be in the basement. As many as 145 cars and 250 two-wheelers can be parked in the basement alone. In addition, the basement will have commercial area, central lobby, elevators, atrium, and toilets. There will be four semicircular concourses and 29 bays. Being implemented on Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) concept, the project is a joint venture of the Kerala Transport Development Finance Corporation and the KSRTC.

  1. Good. After the completion of this project, trivandrum city will get a face lift. State of the art bus station and railway stations would be very close, and it would be really helpful for the passengers.

    Trivandrum having a lots of potential than any other cities in kerala, if we are planning properly. The roads in trivandrum are the major bottlenecks. every roads in trivandrum should be like the roads in kowdiar. then people can easily reach our any place in trivandrum within 15 minutes.

    Anyway, so far so good. let us hope more good things will happen in future.
