95/- rupees for 1 plate….is it reasonable???
How much you are paying for biriyani in other shops? not less than 65 I think. if you compare the quality of biriyani they serve, I think 95 is not much
if every one is happy to pay 95/- ,YUMZES will surely give techies a new year gift 95 to 120…..NOT MUCH….
That i agree. Their biriyani worth for 95 I think.
But as you said many of the restautants here start giving quality food at first, and as time passes they will degrade the quality and quantity.

I think you meant the cost, not the taste. Have you ever eaten biriyani before from some good restaurant ?
why dont you try peppers – 6 th floor bhavani building – we too serve biriyani [ halal ]
@90- i wont say peppers the best but why dont you give a try if you can get a seat between 1 n 2 pm [ its the rush hour]
Biriyani @ 90 & 95 INR? Are you guys making biriyani with petrol?
Be reasonable guys. Even hydrabadi ones we can get for <=75 INR
Also, leave the decision of “best biriyani in Technopark” to customers.
@ Praveen.. You said it… After reading this news in technoparktoday, I tried the biriyani Yumzes. The worst ever in my life in the cost to quality aspect. Just boiled rice (of course colourful) and boiled chicken. No masala and no taste. That too for 95 rupees. Come on technoparktoday.. Be genuine… Please… 🙁
But still I think, they are serving the at least good quality biriyani in the technopark. No other restaurants in technopark is serving such a good biriyani.
How can you decicde the quality of biriyani?
-> The quality of rice
-> Less oily, or no dalda used
-> Nuts and fruits
-> Quantity Served
That may not be the best biriyani in Trivandurm, but thats the best biriyani in technopark till yesterday.
But about the pricing. I also think, thats high. reduce the price in to 70-75. then that would be the best biriyani, which worth for money.

I recomment, please do an evaluation once again, you may change the title to something else. Its an honest comment. Because many Techies like me rely on technoparktoday to get to know about the happening in and around Technopark. So we wish(yes, just wish, not demand) you to be unbiased.. Thank you so much…
@Soman Alias, Thanks for your comments. Yes, Our editor spend two weeks to evaluate the biriyani’s served in Technopark restaurants ( ofcourse, spent money from our own pocket ) and wrote this article. at that time Yumzes was serving really good biriyani, so we reccomended.
Note that this is not an advertisement or promotion for Yumzes. We did similar articles earlier too ( check out our archive, we wrote about hotel california, and ammavan’s hotel kulathoor, chechi’s homely food near technopark etc..)

@ admin. Thanks for the response. Yes, I have read the said articles. I am a regular visitor to this site. Thats the reason why I said we still look at technoparktoday to know about the happenings in technopark. Please don’t take me wrong… After reading your article about their quality food, my collegues and myself ate biriyani from Yumzes and to be frank, as I posted in my comment, it was ‘the worst’ biriyani we have ever had. That made me write my comments.. Hope you understand…. !!
Yes, as admin said, they may degrade the quality of biriyani now. it is very common in everywhere. when they start, they serve good food, and their customer care would be very good.but when time passes, they just degrade everything, including the quality and quantity, but increase the price…

As far as yumzes is concerned,we had never compromised the quantity and quality till today.Its quite unfortunate that some may had some bitter experience of Yumzes Biriyani. sorry Guys.The management will monitor the Quality of food.
Yumzes has started breakfast.Bread,butter,corn flakes,dates,almonds,veg salads etc.
Try this balanced breakfast and please comment……
@ johns.. do you personally think 95/- rupees for a biriyani is reasonable in Trivandrum, if you were a customer ? What is that costly ingredient which you use to make your biriyani, other than the biriyani rice and the meat ? As one of our friend asked in his comment, are you making biriyani in petrol ?

Why you are not considering the rent and running expense for a restaurant in Tehcnopark? we cant compare the price of a biriyani, when we prepare it in our home and when they are selling it in a restaurant, especially in technopark.
What I heard from some of the owners, the expenses in technopark is much much more than any other places in the city. i dont know whether it is true, but i like to hear it from the owners or anyone having a better idea about it. please post the details here…

Prices are stil high. about 30-50% of costlier than out of the campus. why it is like that? any idea?

Its not easy to keep the quality and quantity of Biriyani the same for the last 8 months.
