Kochi Tuskers Kerala – new name for kerala IPL Team

Kochi Cricket Pvt. Ltd (KCPL) the newest entrant into the IPL family unveils its logo and Team Kochi IPL name “Kochi Tuskers Kerala” through an online voting initiative. An unique and exclusive initiative by the team management that received an overwhelming response by fans all over India.

The supporters came out in large numbers to provide their inputs and back their team during the voting initiative. It was their energy and enthusiasm which made this one of a kind special initiative a run-away success. Such an encouraging response made the name process exciting and a memorable occasion.

An elated Mr. Mukesh Patel (Director KCPL), was overwhelmed with the support of the fans and said, “The state animal of Kerala is the Asian Elephant, also known as the Indian Elephant. Therefore the appropriateness in selection of the Team Kochi IPL name, Kochi Tuskers Kerala by the fans all over India cannot be ignored. Elephants are the largest land animals alive today and their tusks are attractive, sharp and intimidating. The characteristics that imbibe Team Kochi’s beliefs, in domination, achieving huge success and being smooth and sharp operators on and off the field. We would like to thank all our fans for their enduring support. We have received an overwhelming response to our voting initiative”.
