TechnoparkToday.com>> Onam is a festival of togetherness and equality. This time Onam was exactly that . Everyone literally came together for the flood victims. Understanding the plight of people in flood-hit areas, Allianz employees joined coordinating and supporting efforts and flood relief activities in the state.
Allianz Technology, India employees were active participants in the collection centre at BhuB at Mar Ivanios campus, Nalachira, one of the prominent people-driven collection centres to coordinate and dispatch relief materials to flood-hit areas.
Employees from various departments of the organisation spent their weekends supporting other collection centres in the city such as Cottonhill school, SMV school, All Saints college, Keltron campus . A group of employees from Allianz Technology in India were also part of the IT helpdesk to co-ordinate supplychain application creation for relief supplies and related activities throughout the state.
CEO Ashish Patel said, “We came together in the true spirit of Onam and of helping our fellow citizens during these trying days.Our colleagues from across the globe are expressing their support and thinking of the people in Kerala. The government is doing an exemplary job. I am confident that we shall overcome this together.”
The onam celebrations are looked forward by all employees as one of the largest celebrations in the year; however, in solidarity with the flood victims, the company cancelled this year’s Onam celebrations and onam feast.
Allianz Technology, India CEO Ashish Patel also handed over their contribution to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the presence of state IT secretary and Technopark CEO at the CM’s office.
Individuals and teams continue their support with money, relief materials or volunteering for the cause.
