TechnoparkToday.com >> ‘Anamudi and Ponmudi‘ will not be names of mountain peaks for techies anymore. Â Just like the names ‘Pampa’, ‘Periyar’, ‘Nila’ etc became names of various building complexes in Technopark, the two blocks to be commissioned in Technopark phase III will be named after the two famous peaks in the state.
The new buildings are also considered to be Asia’s largest buildings to get Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design gold rating from the Indian Green Building Council for energy efficiency.
With the commissioning of the third phase, the total area of Technopark, including phase I, II and III, will be 333 acres and the built-up area 7.1 million square feet.
The two buildings have come up on 27.5 acres of the Special Economic Zone in the 92 acres acquired for the third-phase expansion of Technopark.
Wow that’s great news for the greenest IT park!
But the “Green ” color is fading slowly… I could see only lots of building coming up, and not even a new tree planted in the campus in recent years!!!! So soon we will miss the tag “Greenest technopark in the world”
Wow.. Technopark III Phase towers are giant and awesome. innovative design, and everyone would be looking in to that. Along with the infosys building, the new technopark building became the icon of architecture in trivandrum…
But why is the target LEED Gold? Infosys Trivandrum already has a Platinum rated Green building!
Newer buildings of this level of prominence should rather aim for better standards in going green. Shouldn’t they?
The structure provided seems nice. The names are well suited for those buildings. Good for the greenest Techno parks in India..
