As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, leading IT services firm UST Global, in association with “Kanthari,†a project of the International Institute for Social Entrepreneurs (IISE), Trivandrum, has launched “iSave,†a free mobile application on the Android platform that is expected to come to the aid of women in distress.
iSave will enable women to pre-programme key contacts for an automatic SMS in the event of an emergency. It can alert up to five different numbers. In an emergency, the person needs to press one button. The application also has the capacity to track their movement through GPS even if the mobile is switched off. This feature can be very useful in a worst-case scenario like kidnapping.
The app can be downloaded via tgci.inâ€.

Many women’s safety applications are already listed in play store. So why are you guys publishing this App as a big deal. ????
” track their movement through GPS even if the mobile is switched off”…really?
The phone must be turned on in order to be tracked. In addition, it must be within range of a cell tower, and it must be able to receive signals from the GPS satellites. The satellites themselves don’t receive signals from the phone, the cell tower does, so the only way anyone can find you is to have access to the cellular network
Very nice…. UST has proved their CSR really useful.
Download itself is not working..i wonder how this is going to help..when somebody is in trouble…lol 🙂
