Arbitron – an NYSE-listed Media and Marketing Research company, has opened a new office in the “Tejomaya” building of Infopark Kochi, as part of scaling up its India operations . The new facility was inaugurated by Scott Henry, Arbitron’s Chief Information Officer. With the new facility, Arbitron India has added an additional 20,000 square feet of space, bringing its total operational space in the L&T Techpark to 65,000 square feet.
It was in November 2008 that Arbitron first opened its India facility with just 16 full-time employees. Today, Arbitron India employs 250 employees and consultants. Arbitron India plays a key role in extending the functionality of the company’s technology and provides operational support for the company’s Portable People MeterTM (PPMâ„¢) service, the leading portable, passive, and personal measurement service. Arbitron’s PPM service is currently commercialized in 48 of the top US radio markets and other countries across the world.
