TechnoparkToday: When a group of fresh graduates tossed their caps up in the air, it was a proud moment not just for them and their families, but also for their employer. Allianz Services India orchestrated a remarkable mass convocation ceremony, honoring the accomplishments of nearly 70 of their people. The event unfolded on January 15 at the Ganga Convention Center in Technopark and the Customer Excellence Centre in Pune creating a vibrant atmosphere to celebrate their achievements and successes.
During a festive hybrid ceremony, the colleagues commemorated their graduation, marking a significant milestone in Allianz Services India’s employee upskilling initiative. Out of the 70 graduates, almost 50 colleagues completed a rigorous two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) offered by the Symbiosis Centre of Distance Learning (SCDL), while almost 20 others excelled in a one-year Executive Postgraduate in Insurance and Management offered by the National Insurance Academy (NIA). SCDL is one of the top institutes in India in the field of distance education and management, whereas NIA is an integrated management school with training, education, publications, research, consultancy, and regulatory advisory services.
“Many professionals take a break from their career to pursue higher studies; however, we thought of giving our people the same opportunity while they work – fully supported by the organization. A lot of commitment from all participants earned them this recognition, and hearty congratulations to all of them! Certainly, this would equip them with the confidence and energy to face bigger challenges in their career,” said Jison John, Chief Delivery Officer for Allianz Services Morocco, Mauritius and India, CEO & MD of Allianz Services India.
The program, which was developed by the Learning and Development (L&D) team part of the People Experience Function (Human Resources department), was the first Post Graduate Diploma Course sponsored by Allianz Services India. Focusing on the personal and professional development of the employees and consisting of two courses offered by the top management schools in the country, this innovative approach underscores Allianz Services India’s dedication to empowering its workforce through education and development.
“I definitely had some challenges in the two years of completing the course, but I was determined to finish it. I am very proud and thankful that Allianz Services India has sponsored this course,” said Divya Joy, one of the participants of the program.
